Editor’s notes
The opening is thin: a few seconds of dark, a hand, one line of dialogue. The hook is the carriage scene, where the queen puts a young bride to sleep, takes her dress, her pendant and her name, and arrives at the castle smiling. Almost nothing is said, and the images carry it, which suits a story about a woman pretending to be someone else.
