Privacy policy
What DramaLobby collects when you visit, why, who else is involved and what you can do about it. Last updated: September 14, 2026.
The short version
DramaLobby is a free guide to short dramas. There are no accounts, forms or comments here, so we never ask for your name or email address.
- We don’t sell your personal information, and there are no ads on DramaLobby.
- We measure visits with Google Analytics to learn which series and apps people look for. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it only runs if you accept it, and anyone can turn it off in Cookie settings.
- Episode previews play from Bunny.net, our video host.
- When you tap a button to an app, you leave DramaLobby and that app’s privacy policy applies.
- The episodes you finish are remembered only in your own browser.
Who we are
DramaLobby (www.dramalobby.com) is run by Álvaro Ríos, an individual based in Chile, under the Smart Sites name. He is responsible for the personal information described on this page, and “we” in this policy means him. You can reach us at privacy@dramalobby.com.
What we collect
Only what browsing a website produces:
- Usage: the pages you view, the series and apps you open, the links you tap (including the ones to the apps), how long you stay and the page that sent you here.
- Device and connection: browser, operating system, screen size, language and an approximate location, such as your country or city, derived from your IP address.
- Episode progress: which free episodes you finished, kept in your browser’s local storage so the next one unlocks. It never reaches our servers.
- Server logs: our host records IP addresses and requests to keep the site running and secure.
- Messages: if you email us, your address and whatever you write.
Why we use it
We use this information to:
- run the site and fix what breaks;
- learn which series, genres and apps interest people, so we can make the guide better;
- count how many visitors go on to an app, which is how we follow the affiliate program that pays for DramaLobby;
- keep the site secure and prevent abuse;
- meet our legal obligations.
Cookies and browser storage
DramaLobby uses a few cookies and one browser storage key. Google Analytics and its cookies are optional: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are only used if you accept them in our cookie notice, and anyone can turn them off in Cookie settings. This is the full list:
- pll_language, set by DramaLobby: remembers the language of the site. Lasts 1 year.
- wp_consent_statistics, set by DramaLobby: remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Lasts 6 months.
- _ga, set by Google Analytics: tells visits apart. Lasts 2 years.
- _ga_1HSBTJFP09, set by Google Analytics: keeps the state of your visit. Lasts 2 years.
- dramalobby:visto (local storage), set by DramaLobby: remembers the episodes you finished in each series. Stays until you clear your browser data.
How to control them
Use Cookie settings, at the bottom of every page, to accept or reject analytics cookies at any time. If you reject them, Google Analytics stops loading and we delete the cookies it had set. You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings, and stop Google Analytics on every website with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. DramaLobby keeps working without them; it just won’t remember your language or your progress.
Services we rely on
These companies handle data for us, each under its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics and Google Search Console, by Google LLC: visit statistics and search performance. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses.
- Bunny.net, by BunnyWay d.o.o.: hosts and streams the episode previews. When you press play, it receives your IP address and the technical data needed to deliver the video.
- HostArmada: hosts the website on servers in the United States.
- DramaCPS: the affiliate network behind our links to the apps.
Affiliate links and the apps
Buttons such as “Play now on DramaBox” take you to the app through a DramaCPS tracking link. From that moment you are no longer on DramaLobby: DramaCPS and the app may use cookies or device identifiers to record that you came from us, and their privacy policies cover everything you do there. The reports we get from DramaCPS show clicks, installs and commissions; they don’t include your name, contact details or payment information. Our affiliate disclosure explains the program.
We don’t sell your data
We don’t sell personal information, we don’t share it for targeted advertising and we don’t run ads. We only pass information to the services above so they can do their job, or when the law requires it, for example to answer a valid legal request.
Legal bases in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on our legitimate interest in running, protecting and improving the site; on your consent for Google Analytics and its cookies, which we ask for before they are used; and on our legal obligations when they apply.
International transfers
Our providers process data in the United States and the European Union. Google takes part in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and when data leaves the EEA or the UK our providers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics keeps event-level data for up to 14 months; after that, only aggregated reports remain. Server logs are kept for a short time for security and troubleshooting. Emails are kept only as long as we need them to answer you, and your episode progress stays in your browser until you clear it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and send you a copy;
- correct it or delete it;
- limit how we use it or object to its use;
- withdraw any consent you gave, at any time.
How to exercise them
Write to privacy@dramalobby.com. We answer within 30 days and never treat you differently for asking. In the EEA or the UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority. Residents of California and other U.S. states have these rights under their state laws; since we don’t sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of under those laws, but you can still turn off Google Analytics in Cookie settings.
Children
DramaLobby is not meant for children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and the UK, and some series deal with mature themes. We don’t knowingly collect information from children; if you think a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
The site only works over HTTPS, and only our team can reach its administration. No website is perfectly secure, but we protect the little information we handle with care.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top, and we will point out important changes on the site.
